Welcome to MT Massage. I am Juston (Mix Tags) Blackburn, LMT. I offer Massage Therapy from my home in Ruffin, SC.
Please Use the "Contact" link above to book your appointment before arriving.

All these techniques I incorporate into my Signature Massage:

Swedish:
Swedish massage uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage.
Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness,
and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee over a period of eight weeks.

Trigger Point Therapy:
Sometimes confused with pressure point massage,
this involves deactivating trigger points that may cause local pain or refer pain and other sensations, such as headaches,
in other parts of the body. Manual pressure, vibration, or other treatment is applied to these points to relieve myofascial pain.

Shiatsu:
Shiatsu is Japanese for "finger pressure;" it is a type of alternative medicine consisting of finger and palm pressure, stretches,
and other massage techniques. It is a way to help people relax and cope with issues such as stress, muscle pain, nausea, anxiety,
and depression.

Acupressure:
Acupressure (a portmanteau of "acupuncture" and "pressure") is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) technique derived from acupuncture.
With acupressure physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points by the hand, elbow, or with various devices.

Reflexology:
Reflexology, or zone therapy, is an alternative medicine involving the physical act of applying pressure to the feet, hands,
or ears with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion.
Areas on the foot correspond to areas of the body, and that by manipulating these one can improve health through one's qi.

Lomi Lomi:
Lomi Lomi is the traditional massage of Hawaii using the palms, forearms, fingers, knuckles, and elbows.
It is a restorative massage that is centered around prayer and the vibe of nature. It tends to be a closer,
more intimate style of massage that I typically incorporate with other techniques to provide relaxation and treatment of pain or stiffness.

I also Specialize in:

Chair Massage:
Chair massage has become very popular for its portability and its capacity to offer therapeutic massage to a large number of people in a short period of time. Clients remain clothed keeping turn-around times short and helping to create a comfortable environment. Receiving just five or ten minutes of chair massage has been found to be effective for relief of aches and pains and reduction of stress.

Sports Massage:
Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. In a sports massage, I will concentrate on a specific problem area. Sports massage is a type of Swedish massage that stimulates circulation of blood and lymph fluids. Some sports massage movements use trigger point therapy to break down adhesions (knots in the muscles) and increase range of motion.

Hot Stone Massage:
A stone massage is a massage that uses smooth, flat, and heated rocks placed at key points on the body.
The heat of the rocks causes muscles to relax, thus allowing me to apply deeper, more precise pressure if desired or necessary.
